PROJECT AREA

AREA: 820 m²

The Genetic Disorders Assessment Center offers specialized services in the field of genetic diagnostics and personalized medicine on both national and international scales. The center comprises medical laboratories and offices.

The required spatial program of the center includes various functions such as services, storage, utility rooms, different laboratories, management offices, patient reception areas, staff preparation zones, medical waste areas, wet spaces, among others. This array of functions guided the initial design to prioritize grouping related volumes.

Accordingly, within the 820m² area, spatial organization was differentiated based on functions. This resulted in the creation of three fundamental zones: the office section, staff section, and laboratory section. The laboratory section was set back, while the office and staff sections surrounded the laboratory section in a U-shaped layout to make the most of daylight. The skeletal structure that forms the spatial layout also serves as the circulation area. Transparency was emphasized in rooms facing the circulation area to maximize interaction and communication.

Due to the medical nature of the laboratories, the interior design embraced a minimalist and clean approach, dominated by simple and white tones. Wooden material details were integrated into patient and visitor-related areas, management offices, and meeting rooms to enhance the design.

By thoughtfully organizing related spaces and functions, utilizing natural light effectively, and incorporating appropriate materials, the Genetic Disorders Assessment Center achieved a functional and aesthetically pleasing environment for both medical and office activities.
