PROJECT AREA

AREA: 8950 m²

This project involves the customs control building and main entrance gate facilitating access to the Ege Free Zone, which is established on a 2.5 million m² area in the Gaziemir district of ESBAŞ. The architectural program is divided into two separate masses according to the functions of various customs management units. An architectural solution has been developed for the two masses, creating spaces where users can relax and spend time, with an added courtyard and terrace design between them to introduce semi-open areas to the project. The vertical circulation, which rises upon entry to the building, is emphasized as a mass reaching up to the terrace on the façade.

A standout feature of the project is the functional "gate" design defining the entry to the free zone. Customs control units, responsible for overseeing transitions, are positioned under the "gate," connecting them to the main structure and the free zone. An informational screen is present on the surface of the "gate."

The colors chosen for the façade's material reflect ESBAŞ's corporate identity, drawing inspiration from the red and white colors that represent the identity.

The distinctive aspect of the project is the continuous red shell on the façade, defining the entry to both the building and the free zone, while simultaneously shaping the structure's entrance, circulation, and overall form.
